Peanut The Lamb Fiber Art Wall Hanging by Claudia Buchanan

Meet Peanut, Cheri's little lamb from my home town in Northern Calif.

This sweet baby lost her mother at birth and Cheri bottle fed her to become the sweetest little lamb. She even has her own FB fan page (Peanuts Fan Club)

With summer arriving Cheri sheared her wool and sent it to me to wash and clean. Cheri took this photo and won 1st Place in the Colusa County Fair and of course Peanut is now a Fiber Art Quilt. Enjoy, I had such a time felting Peanuts wool.

18" Wide x 18" Tall
Layered Fabric , Quilted & Felted With Raw Wool
60 Hours from start to finish

I painted the sky with Pebeo Fabric Paints from France. When the paint is dry I can start quilting the sky and upper background. The next process is to add the art fabric for the barn and fences . I used wool roving and thread for the grass. Peanut the lamb is felted with her spring wool. The rancher shipped the wool and I washed it many times to prepare the wool for felting. Once the accent fabrics are applied to the fabric I can start the thread painting and quilting.

This Art is fabricated when ordered, please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
